Casino with Klarna and Sofort bank transfer
Values per casino, each with its source.
Anyone looking for a casino with Klarna almost always means the Sofort bank transfer: in the casino's payment window you trigger a transfer from your online banking, approve it with a TAN from your bank, and the merchant receives a payment confirmation. The service now belongs to Klarna, which took over the former Sofortüberweisung. For the 5 casinos we compare – Playzilla, Rolling Slots, Playio, Qbet and AmunRa – the sources disagree: according to the AskGamblers data sheet, “Sofort” is listed for Playzilla, Rolling Slots, Playio and Qbet, and “Klarna Instant Bank Transfer” only for Rolling Slots; in the deposit lists of casino.guru both are missing for all 5 brands (sources as of 05.10.2026).
The Sofort transfer leaves your current account directly, so it belongs to the bank payments; casino.guru lists the classic bank transfer as a deposit method for all 5 brands. Processing times and fees of the bank routes per brand, and the difference between a transfer and SEPA direct debit at the casino, are explained on the parent page about bank payments.

Klarna and the Sofort transfer: what is behind them
Most people know Klarna from online shopping, where the service offers buying on invoice, paying later and paying in instalments. At a casino only one part of that matters: paying directly from your own bank account, which used to run under the name Sofortüberweisung and appears in English-language payment lists as “Sofort” or “Klarna Instant Bank Transfer”. No source names a deposit on invoice or in instalments for the 5 brands; why such a route is not provided for in gambling is explained in the section on the credit ban.
Technically the payment works like this: in the payment window you choose your bank, enter the access details of your online banking and approve the pre-filled transfer with your bank's security procedure. The service fills in recipient, amount and reference itself, so typing errors in the IBAN or reference are ruled out. The merchant receives a confirmation that the transfer has been ordered and can credit the balance before the money has actually moved between the banks. What is fast, then, is the confirmation, not the underlying flow of money.
One point matters for classification: a Sofort transfer is a transfer that you authorise yourself. It is not a direct debit, where the recipient collects the amount, and it is not a card payment. There is neither an account holding a balance as with an e-wallet nor a credit line as with credit cards at the casino. On your bank statement the payment shows up as an ordinary transfer to the recipient specified by the service.
Klarna and “Sofort” at the 5 casinos: what the sources list
For each brand there are two lists of deposit methods: the casino.guru deposit list and the AskGamblers data sheet.
The sources do not say why the lists differ. AskGamblers gives one hint for AmunRa: many methods there are subject to territorial restrictions. Which list applies to an account from Germany only becomes visible in the casino's cashier after registration. We do not attribute any method to a brand that no source confirms.
| Casino | “Sofort” according to AskGamblers | “Klarna Instant Bank Transfer” according to AskGamblers | “Sofort” or Klarna according to casino.guru |
|---|---|---|---|
| Playzilla Casino | listed | not listed | not listed |
| Rolling Slots Casino | listed | listed, plus Giropay | not listed |
| Playio Casino | listed | not listed | not listed |
| Qbet Casino | listed | not listed | not listed |
| AmunRa Casino | not listed | not listed | not listed |
The second and third columns refer only to the brand's AskGamblers data sheet, the fourth to the casino.guru deposit list. “Not listed” means the method does not appear in that list; whether the cashier shows it for your country is not settled by that.
Depositing with “Sofort”: process and crediting
Fast confirmation and fast crediting are not the same thing. The confirmation of the Sofort transfer allows the casino to credit early; when it actually credits is up to the casino.
What the sources say about crediting is thin. For Playio, casinoohnelizenz.com gives the processing time “Instant” for deposits. For Playzilla and Rolling Slots no source states how long crediting takes, and for Qbet there is only a statement on crypto deposits. For operators with a German licence, § 6b (2) GlüStV 2021 requires deposits and winnings to be credited without delay and withdrawals to be deducted from the player account without delay once requested (gesetze-bayern.de, as of 06.10.2026).
The sources name no deposit fees for any of the 5 brands. Whether your own bank charges anything for transfers depends on your account model.
- Step 1
Choose the method
Select “Sofort” or “Klarna” in the casino cashier, if the method is shown for your country.
- Step 2
Enter the amount
Enter an amount above the brand's minimum deposit and within your own deposit limit.
- Step 3
Pick your bank
Search for your bank in the payment window and enter the access details of your online banking.
- Step 4
Approve the transfer
Check the pre-filled transfer and confirm it with your bank's security procedure (TAN).
- Step 5
Credit check
Check in the player account whether the amount has arrived and keep the confirmation.
Depositing from 5 euros with Klarna?
No source names a minimum deposit from 1 euro or of €5 for any of the 5 brands, and the sources do not list a minimum deposit per payment method at all. The figures apply to the casino as a whole or to a bonus offer:
- Playzilla: €10 according to AskGamblers DE (German bonus offer), €20 according to the AskGamblers bonus page (a different bonus offer); no source names a general minimum deposit.
- Rolling Slots: €10 in general, €20 for the welcome bonus – anyone who wants the bonus deposits at Rolling Slots from 20 euros.
- Playio: €10; at least €20 for the match bonus.
- Qbet: €10 for fiat deposits; for the welcome bonus €20 according to the AskGamblers text, €10 according to the AskGamblers bonus page.
- AmunRa: €10 for the welcome bonus; no source names a general minimum deposit.
For the four brands with “Sofort” in the AskGamblers data sheet, the smallest documented deposit is therefore €10. The minimum withdrawal can be higher: Qbet names €20; for Rolling Slots AskGamblers names €10 and LCB €20; for Playio the AskGamblers data sheet names €20 and casinoohnelizenz.com €10; for Playzilla there is no figure.
For small amounts, § 16 (4) GwG (Money Laundering Act) allows an exception from the player's payment account only up to €25 per transaction and €100 per calendar month (gesetze-im-internet.de, as of 06.10.2026). A Sofort transfer is a transfer from your own account and falls under the basic rule, even at €10.
On invoice, pay later, in instalments: why not (credit ban)
Besides the Sofort transfer, Klarna is known for its “invoice”, “pay in 30 days” and instalment products. For gambling deposits the legislator has explicitly closed this route. Under § 4 (5) no. 2 GlüStV 2021, operators, intermediaries, their employees and third parties commissioned by them may not grant loans to players, nor advertise loans or link to such offers on their domain (gesetze-bayern.de, as of 06.10.2026). Playing first and paying later means playing with borrowed money; that is exactly what the rule excludes.
§ 6b (5) GlüStV 2021 fits this: transfers of money or game points between player accounts are not permitted, and the credit ban applies (gesetze-bayern.de, as of 06.10.2026). Accordingly, none of the ten deposit lists of the 5 brands includes payment on invoice or in instalments. The only Klarna variant that appears there is the transfer from your own account, and it debits the money before you play.
Anyone who wants to pay at a casino on invoice often means a different method: paying via your mobile network provider. According to casino.guru, Siru Mobile is in the deposit list of Playzilla and Playio; according to AskGamblers, of Playzilla and AmunRa. How this billing works and which amounts the sources name for it is covered on our page about the casino with phone bill payments, kept separate from the bank routes on this page.
Klarna, Trustly and other bank routes compared
The Sofort transfer is not the only way to deposit directly from your current account. For the 5 brands the sources name several alternatives, which differ in how the transfer is triggered and whether the same route is also available for withdrawals:
- Bank transfer: listed as a deposit method for all 5 brands according to casino.guru and as a withdrawal method for all 5 brands according to AskGamblers – the only bank route documented in both directions for every brand.
- Rapid Transfer: a transfer from online banking via an intermediary service; as a deposit for Playzilla, Playio, Qbet and AmunRa according to casino.guru and for all 5 according to AskGamblers, and as a withdrawal route for all 5 according to AskGamblers.
- Giropay: only in the AskGamblers data sheet of Rolling Slots.
- eps transfer: for Playzilla according to casino.guru, for Playio and AmunRa according to AskGamblers.
- Zimpler: for Playzilla and Playio according to casino.guru, for AmunRa according to AskGamblers.
- Revolut: a deposit method for all 5 brands according to casino.guru; as a withdrawal route AskGamblers names Revolut for Playzilla and Playio.
Closest to the Sofort transfer is Trustly, which likewise triggers a transfer directly from online banking. Trustly, however, does not appear in any of the ten lists of the 5 brands. How the two services differ and which bank routes remain without Trustly is explained on the page about Trustly at the casino, using the data of the same 5 brands.
Withdrawals: no way back via Klarna
Neither “Sofort” nor Klarna appears in the withdrawal lists of the AskGamblers data sheets for any of the 5 brands. The Sofort transfer is a deposit-only route; winnings arrive by bank transfer to the account on file, which AskGamblers lists as a withdrawal method for all 5 brands. The sources give these durations for the bank transfer:
- Playzilla: 0–5 days according to AskGamblers EN, 1–5 days according to AskGamblers DE.
- Rolling Slots: 3–7 days after a pending phase of 24–72 hours.
- Playio: 3–5 days according to the AskGamblers data sheet; processing up to 3 working days, Monday to Friday, according to the AskGamblers text.
- Qbet: 1–5 days after 0–48 hours pending; withdrawals also at weekends.
- AmunRa: 3–7 days according to AskGamblers EN, 24–72 hours according to AskGamblers DE.
Playzilla, Rolling Slots, Playio and AmunRa name €500 per day as the casino withdrawal limit; per month it is €7,000 at Playzilla, Playio and AmunRa and €10,000 at Rolling Slots. Higher limits apply to Qbet withdrawals: €10,000 per day and €100,000 per month. At Qbet the first withdrawal per day is free according to AskGamblers; every further one within 24 hours costs a 3% administrative fee (max. €20). AmunRa charges no withdrawal fees but points to possible fees of the payment providers.
If you change your bank details, under § 6a GlüStV 2021 withdrawals go only to the previously registered account until the new details have been verified (gesetze-bayern.de, as of 06.10.2026). Depositing by Sofort transfer from an account other than the one stored in the player account therefore delays the first withdrawal.
When a “Sofort” deposit does not arrive
Because the casino waits for a confirmation from the payment service, the Sofort transfer has typical break points. Often the payment window was closed before the TAN approval, the bank declined the transfer, or the confirmation did not reach the casino although the money had already left the account. In that case the bank statement shows a debit but the player account shows no balance.
Banks also check payments to gambling operators for legal reasons. Under § 9 (1) no. 4 GlüStV 2021, the supervisory authority can, after notification, prohibit banks and payment service providers from taking part in payments for unlicensed gambling and in payouts from it (gesetze-bayern.de, as of 06.10.2026). No source names a German licence for any of the 5 brands; the sources list foreign licences, and for Playzilla and Playio casino.guru names none at all. How checking against the GGL whitelist works is shown on our page about payment rules in Germany.
Before you contact support, have the amount, date, time and the reference from your bank statement ready. Which steps make sense in which order when a deposit is not received, and when the bank rather than the casino has to deal with the matter, is described step by step in our guide deposit not received for all payment methods.
Legal framework: your own account, LUGAS, payment reference
For payments from a bank account, online gambling is subject to statutory requirements, whether the transfer is triggered via “Sofort”, via Trustly or in the classic way:
- Account in your name: under § 6b (4) GlüStV 2021, deposits and withdrawals run only via a payment account in the player's name at a credit or payment institution; deposits or withdrawals via anonymous means of payment are not permitted in distance selling (gesetze-bayern.de, as of 06.10.2026).
- Withdrawal with a reference: under § 16 (7) GwG, withdrawals go only to a payment account in the player's name, and the reference must be stated so that an outsider can see why the payment was made (gesetze-im-internet.de, as of 07.10.2026).
- No de minimis limit for identity checks: under § 16 (1) GwG, the threshold amount of § 10 (5) GwG does not apply in online gambling (gesetze-im-internet.de, as of 07.10.2026).
- LUGAS: the cross-operator deposit limit under § 6c (1) GlüStV 2021, the monthly LUGAS limit, may in principle not exceed €1,000; an increase only takes effect after a protection period of seven days (gesetze-bayern.de, as of 06.10.2026). It applies to operators with a German licence and limits deposits, not withdrawals.
Before the player's details have been fully verified, taking part in games and withdrawals are not permitted under § 6a (4) GlüStV 2021; as an exception, play is allowed for the first 72 hours after registration up to a deposit limit of €100 (gesetze-bayern.de, as of 06.10.2026). Using a partner's or a parent's account for the Sofort transfer is therefore ruled out, even if the payment would technically go through.
Chargebacks: why the Sofort transfer is not a direct debit
Many people confuse the Sofort transfer with a direct debit because both leave the current account. Legally the difference is large. For SEPA core direct debits, § 675x BGB provides that the payer can demand a refund from their bank within eight weeks of the debit without giving reasons; the bank decides within ten business days (gesetze-im-internet.de, as of 07.10.2026). A Sofort transfer, by contrast, is one you approved yourself, and this right of return does not apply to it; reclaiming money paid via Sofort therefore needs a different route.
§ 675u BGB concerns unauthorised payments, for example when someone uses your online banking without your consent; in that case the payment service provider must refund the amount without delay. Your own deposit at a casino, approved with a TAN, is not such a case (gesetze-im-internet.de, as of 07.10.2026).
Whether deposits with operators without a German licence can be reclaimed is the subject of the lead-decision procedure I ZR 216/25 at the Federal Court of Justice; according to press release no. 086/2026 the hearing was scheduled for 17.09.2026, and our sources name no outcome (bundesgerichtshof.de, as of 06.10.2026). For a specific case, a consumer advice centre or a lawyer is the right point of contact.
Checklist before your first Klarna deposit
Before you trigger your first Sofort transfer at one of the 5 brands, these questions help:
- Does the cashier show “Sofort” or “Klarna” for an account from Germany at all?
- Is the current account you pay from your own, and is it the same account that withdrawals will go to later?
- Does your amount fit the brand's minimum deposit and its minimum withdrawal?
- How long does a withdrawal by bank transfer take at this brand, and are there fees?
- Have you set yourself a monthly deposit limit?
