Bank transfer and SEPA direct debit at the casino

Values per casino, each with its source.

How we collect the data ▸

Depositing and withdrawing by bank transfer works at all 5 casinos in this comparison: Playzilla, Rolling Slots, Playio, Qbet and AmunRa list bank transfer among both their deposit and their withdrawal methods. SEPA direct debit for deposits is named by none of them (sources: casino.guru, askgamblers.com, lcb.org, casinoohnelizenz.com; as of 05.10.2026). Bank transfer is just one entry among the 23 to 34 methods per brand that casino.guru lists; all other deposit methods at online casinos, from cards and e-wallets to crypto, are compared in a separate overview of the same 5 casinos.

Bank transfer

With a bank transfer, the player sends money from their current account to the bank details shown in the casino cashier, or receives a withdrawal to their IBAN. The sources label this option “Bank transfer” (casino.guru) or “Bank Wire Transfer” (askgamblers.com).

How long a deposit by transfer takes to be credited is something hardly any source states. For Playzilla and Rolling Slots there is no information. For Playio, casinoohnelizenz.com gives “Instant” without breaking it down by method. For Qbet the only statement concerns a crypto deposit, for AmunRa a single player’s account of an e-wallet deposit.

Other services in the lists also work with a bank account:

  • Rapid Transfer: deposits at 4 of 5 casinos (all except Rolling Slots), withdrawals at all 5.
  • Revolut: deposits at all 5, withdrawals only at Playzilla and Playio.
  • Zimpler: deposits at Playzilla and Playio, withdrawals only at AmunRa.
  • eps-Überweisung: only at Playzilla and only for deposits; for withdrawing at Playzilla, bank transfer, Rapid Transfer and Revolut remain.

For withdrawals, AmunRa also lists individual banks by name: The Bank of Aland, POP Bank, Danske Bank and Nordea. Which options appear for an account in Germany is only visible in the cashier; askgamblers.com notes that many AmunRa methods are available only in certain countries.

SEPA direct debit at the casino: none of the 5 casinos names it

The German search “casino mit sepa lastschrift einzahlung” is about the casino collecting the amount from the player’s account instead of the player sending a transfer. Direct debit does not appear in the deposit lists of the 5 casinos, and neither does Trustly. According to AskGamblers, Sofort is listed in the datasheets of Playzilla, Rolling Slots, Playio and Qbet, and Klarna only at Rolling Slots; casino.guru lists neither Sofort nor Klarna for any of the 5 casinos. For a payment straight from a current account without a manual transfer, casino.guru lists Rapid Transfer, Revolut or Zimpler at these brands, and AskGamblers additionally lists Sofort at Playzilla, Rolling Slots, Playio and Qbet and Klarna at Rolling Slots, provided the cashier offers them for Germany.

How a payment through such an intermediary service works is covered on the page on Trustly at the casino.

Under § 16 (4) GwG, deposits for online gambling may only be made by direct debit, bank transfer or payment card from a payment account in the player’s name; amounts of no more than €25 per transaction and €100 per calendar month are exempt (gesetze-im-internet.de, as of 06.10.2026).

Under § 675x (2) and (4) BGB, for a SEPA core direct debit the payer can demand a refund from their bank within eight weeks of the debit without giving reasons; the bank decides within ten business days (gesetze-im-internet.de, as of 07.10.2026). The rule covers direct debits, not transfers the account holder initiates.

Withdrawal by bank transfer: timing at the 5 casinos

For payouts to a bank account, the sources give a range for all 5 brands, often split into casino processing (pending) and the transfer time of the method.

  • Playzilla: 0–5 days according to the English page of askgamblers.com / 1–5 days according to its German page; no weekend withdrawals, the finance department works Mon–Fri 06:00–17:00.
  • Rolling Slots: pending 24–72 hours, then 3–7 days for bank transfers according to askgamblers.com / processing 3–5 working days according to lcb.org; no weekend withdrawals.
  • Playio: pending 0–5 days, then 3–5 days for bank transfers according to the askgamblers.com data sheet; its body text says up to 3 working days, casinoohnelizenz.com up to 48 hours of processing. No weekend withdrawals.
  • Qbet: pending 0–48 hours, then 1–5 days for bank transfers; the only one of the 5 brands with weekend withdrawals; limits and fees for withdrawing at Qbet are on the brand page.
  • AmunRa: pending 0–72 hours; for bank transfers 3–7 days according to the English page of askgamblers.com / 24–72 hours according to the German page; no weekend withdrawals.

The askgamblers.com body text adds up to three working days for all AmunRa methods (Mon–Fri, 6–17 GMT). All values for deposits, limits and the AmunRa withdrawal are listed with sources on the brand page.

A withdrawal requested shortly before the weekend therefore waits until the next working day at four of the 5 casinos; the interbank transfer time only starts after release.

Limits, minimum withdrawal and fees for bank transfers

No source names a limit specific to bank transfers; each brand’s withdrawal limits apply to all methods: €500 per day and €7,000 per month (Playzilla, Playio, AmunRa), €500 per transaction, €500 per day and €10,000 per month (Rolling Slots), and €10,000 per day, €25,000 per week and €100,000 per month (Qbet). Playzilla raises its limits to up to €1,500 per day and €20,000 per month depending on VIP level. At Qbet, askgamblers.com adds further checks for withdrawals above €2,000.

Minimum withdrawal: no information for Playzilla and AmunRa; Rolling Slots €10 (askgamblers.com) or €20 (lcb.org); Playio €20 (askgamblers.com) or €10 (casinoohnelizenz.com); Qbet €20.

On fees:

  • Playzilla and Playio state no deposit or withdrawal fees; the other figures on withdrawing at PlayiO are on the brand page.
  • Rolling Slots states none either, but askgamblers.com adds that the casino may charge fees, which will then be shown; no amount is given.
  • Qbet pays the first withdrawal per day free of charge and charges a 3 % administrative fee, up to €20, for each further one within 24 hours.
  • AmunRa charges no withdrawal fees of its own according to askgamblers.com; payment providers may charge theirs.

Deposit limit of the bank

The German search “Einzahlungslimit Bank” mixes up two limits: the transfer limit of your own account and the statutory deposit limit for gambling in Germany.

The transfer limit of your own account. Banks set a per-day or per-order limit for transfers in online banking. It affects all transfers, not just casino payments; amounts are in the bank’s terms, and our sources contain none.

The statutory deposit limit. For operators with a German licence, § 6c (1) GlüStV 2021 requires every player to set an individual, cross-operator monthly deposit limit at registration. It may in principle not exceed €1,000 per month; without a limit, no play is possible (gesetze-bayern.de, as of 06.10.2026). An increase takes effect after seven days, a reduction immediately.

The Joint Gambling Authority (GGL) explains (gluecksspiel-behoerde.de, as of 06.10.2026):

  • The limit is monitored via LUGAS, the cross-state system of a limit file and an activity file.
  • It resets on the first day of each month.
  • Failed payments also count towards it.
  • A raised limit of up to €10,000 per month requires inconspicuous gambling behaviour and documented financial capacity; a self-declaration is not enough. Above €10,000 and up to €30,000 is possible for at most 1 % of active players per operator.

Under § 6c (2) GlüStV 2021 operators must also offer daily, weekly or monthly stake, deposit and loss limits chosen by the player. Before the player’s details are confirmed, § 6a (4) GlüStV 2021 exceptionally allows play for 72 hours from registration up to a deposit limit of €100 (gesetze-bayern.de, as of 06.10.2026).

These limits depend on the operator’s German licence, not on the payment method: a bank transfer counts towards the monthly limit just like a card payment.

Account details: name, payment reference and change of account

Under § 16 (7) GwG, payouts from online gambling may only go to a payment account in the player’s name, and the payment reference must show an outsider why the payment was made (gesetze-im-internet.de, as of 07.10.2026).

If the player changes their bank or payment details, § 6a GlüStV 2021 only permits payouts to the “vor der Änderung hinterlegten Zahlungs-, Bank- und Kontoverbindungen” until the new details are verified (gesetze-bayern.de, as of 06.10.2026). Changing the IBAN shortly before a withdrawal therefore means an additional check.

Further requirements for operators with a German licence:

  • Anonymous means of payment are not permitted for deposits and withdrawals in distance selling (§ 6b (4) GlüStV 2021).
  • When the player account is closed, the balance must be transferred within five working days at the latest, without fees (§ 6b (7) GlüStV 2021).
  • The supervisory authority can prohibit banks and payment service providers from taking part in payments for unlicensed gambling and payouts from it (§ 9 (1) no. 4 GlüStV 2021).

The licence information for the 5 brands is given with sources on the brand pages. Why the account name and payment reference also matter to your own bank, for example when your savings bank asks about a payout, is explained in the overview of the rules in Germany together with the duties under the Money Laundering Act.

Chargebacks and refunds through the bank

Whether money sent to a casino via the bank can be recovered depends on the payment route:

  • SEPA core direct debit: refund right under § 675x BGB (see the direct debit section); irrelevant for the 5 brands, since none names direct debit.
  • Unauthorised payment transaction: the payer’s bank must refund without delay, at the latest by the end of the next business day after notification; if fraud by the payer is suspected and reported in writing, only after examination (§ 675u BGB, gesetze-im-internet.de, as of 07.10.2026).
  • Gaming and wagering: under § 762 BGB they create no binding obligation, but what has been paid cannot be reclaimed on that ground alone.

A bank transfer initiated by the player is an authorised payment transaction. On repayment claims against operators without a German licence, the Federal Court of Justice (BGH) is conducting the leading-decision procedure I ZR 216/25, in which a player reclaims €10,092 in online casino losses from 2020–2022. The lower courts ruled in his favour; the hearing took place on 17.09.2026, and the source states no outcome (press release no. 086/2026, bundesgerichtshof.de, as of 06.10.2026).

Under which conditions you can get money back via Sofortüberweisung, and what applies to credit cards and PayPal, is set out on that page.

Withdrawal to a bank account: the process in six steps

The process is similar at all 5 casinos. The minimum withdrawal is not the deposit threshold; which minimum deposit the 5 casinos require is compared on a separate page.

  1. Step 1

Register an account in your own name

The IBAN must belong to a payment account in the player’s name.

  2. Step 2

    Complete verification

Before the player’s details are confirmed, payouts are not permitted under § 6a (4) GlüStV 2021.

  3. Step 3

    Minimum amount and limit

Minimum withdrawal: Qbet €20, Rolling Slots and Playio €10 or €20 depending on the source, Playzilla and AmunRa no information. Daily limits from €500 to €10,000.

  4. Step 4

Choose bank transfer as the method

Select bank transfer in the cashier and enter the amount.

  5. Step 5

Allow for pending time and weekends

Casino processing ranges from 0–48 hours (Qbet) to 0–5 days (Playzilla per the English, 1–5 days per the German askgamblers.com page; Playio per the askgamblers.com data sheet, its body text says up to 3 working days, casinoohnelizenz.com up to 48 hours); at four brands it pauses at weekends.

  6. Step 6

    Receipt and payment reference

After release the transfer time is added; the reference should show why the payment was made.

How long does a withdrawal by bank transfer take?

From 0–5 days per the English / 1–5 days per the German askgamblers.com page (Playzilla) to 3–7 days (Rolling Slots; AmunRa per the English page of askgamblers.com), at several brands after a pending phase. Only Qbet pays out at weekends.

Are there fees for a withdrawal by bank transfer?

Playzilla, Rolling Slots and Playio state no fees. Qbet charges 3 %, up to €20, from the second withdrawal within 24 hours. AmunRa charges no fees of its own; payment providers may.

Is there a statutory deposit limit for bank transfers?

At operators with a German licence, a cross-operator monthly deposit limit of in principle no more than €1,000 applies to all payment methods (§ 6c (1) GlüStV 2021); your bank’s transfer limit is separate.

Can I have the withdrawal sent to a different account?

Under § 16 (7) GwG the destination account must be in the player’s name. After a change of bank details, payouts only go to the previously registered connection until verification (§ 6a GlüStV 2021).
